These Attachment Unit Interfaces (AUI) provide quick and easy attachment to all types of Ethernet cables. All have an AUI connector for connection to a host.

This feature allows the transceivers to work with all hosts, whether they support the Signal Quality Error function ("heart beat") or not. SQE ON/OFF is selected via a switch.

Diagnostic LED report is provided for data collision and jabber. In addition, LED report is also provided network status (Tx, Rx).
